I feel my job, my work, is to find and remind people that I see that have huge abilities to bring forth great amounts of light, love and life into this world. To help these people remember who they and why they are here.To find and bring balance. I have met many such people from all walks of life. Young and ancient. Rich and poor. Male, female. Across cultures and creed. There comes across a certain air of arrogance with my drive to preform my work. This I feel is my passion. Mistaken often as arrogance. Truth is no-one actually really knows any more truth than you or I or anybody, and anybody that says they do, is a liar. I have learnt and I have developed and discovered methods that are sometimes effective in helping me with my work, sometimes these methods are less than effective. Everybody is an individual, thankfully. Everyone has their own story, Although stories are usually interesting and often very beneficial in healing, they are just stories. Listening is healing. Asking is healing. I listen and I ask because I am a healer. We all are. I tell my story immediately to new people I work with, to remove the mystery and judgement promptly. My story, as all stories do, unfold moment to moment so I have little attachment to my personal interpretation of "my" story. I offer a timeline, a skeleton of my history for others to hang their beliefs, opinions and judgements on before we begin the big work. Some reject, some accept. I am not looking for approval and this has become very freeing. I do appreciate it and genuine approval warms my heart but it is not expected or even necessary for me to do my work. But, sometimes approval seems paramount.
For example. I was invited to preform an opening ceremony, a blessing in the city recently. I picked up my drum, opened my mouth and proceeded as my intuition guided me. About fifty people totally got my intention, felt the energy, received the blessings and love I was offering. One woman refused to look at me and acknowledge the situation. I asked her why she wouldn't look at me. I told her I wouldn't bite. She snarled some bullshit at me and stormed off. I wondered why I was upset with this situation. She most certainly did not approve of me or my ceremony. I sent love and energy after her with the intention of clearing her energy and improving her day. I blessed her with success for the day ahead, whatever success means to her. Still I could not shake this feeling of absolute disapproval from a woman I barely knew and certainly do not enjoy the company of. Fifty people or so, had enjoyed and benefited from my efforts but it was the one that didn't that was arresting my attention. Why did I feel I required to gain the approval of a person I can barely stand? What did I have to prove to her? Fifty people got it, took it, so is that the measure of success? To me the answer was no. It's not. I missed one. I couldn't reach one person. I failed her and she disapproved of my efforts even before the ceremony begun. I checked my ego and it was secure. I checked my physical appearance, it was not obscene. My energy was vibrating high in truth and love. Why did I seek the approval of a person I don't actually like?
I meditated on these questions. I saw examples of woman that return to the men that beat them. I saw children that get abused and harassed for failing (not achieving) the required academic or sporting level over-demanding parents insist is acceptable. I saw soldiers that blindly follow commands and business people that accept corporation is godly and worth destroying their workers self esteem and self worth, as those workers, the corporations greatest asset, grind out more and more product for less and less personal benefit. I realized my insignificant situation was a reflection to one of today's biggest problems in modern society that creates disease. The disease of needing approval. The disease of bullying and destroying another persons self worth and value whether it be for the corporation, the family, the nation, or god or whatever we give our personal power away to, expecting approval and acceptance. This is not a new concept to me or a surprise to many especially to those interested and practicing spiritual development and healing modalities. We are aware of our own personal power. Then the vision, the voice, became very clear and showed me, said to me, as it does without words and images, it asked "What if you were not born with a soul but are here to create a soul. To reconnect to the source of creation, to the source of love and create the best you. The whole you. The whole soul. What if?" Creation asking me if I am here to be creation. To be creative. To reconnect. To remember. This journey made sense in that moment. What if everybody on this rock that circles a fireball has the freewill to create their own soul in every moment. What if indeed. That's a huge responsibility for most. Most wish to give that responsibility away. Most accept that there have been difficulties, hard lessons, creating a perfect soul, and give up because they are tired, tired from consuming.
I feel it's the ever increasing programme of consumption that tires the freewill of a soul in creation and not the creation process but the tiresome effort required to compete within / against the distortion of consuming. Consume more, create less. I feel it should be consume less, create more. The distortion appeals to the wounded ego by supplying gratification to the wounded unapproved ego, often instantly in the age of internet and credit cards. The distortion cares not how we consume, as long we do. All I have to do is log my "unique" PASSword into my account, tap in my "special" three digit special credit card code and I can own that rare colour vinyl Ramones record from 1976 that I should ceremoniously stash away in a protective plastic sleeve, to afraid to play the disc in the event I may render the prize possession no longer mint and NOT enjoy Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and Tommy bashing out " I Don't Wanna Go Down To The Basement". No longer mint. Worth less. Reducing value. Is this the way the current distortion insists we view and value our own self-worth? No longer mint? Damaged product? What if, as the voice asked, we are not mint condition when we come in but become mint, become authentic as we undertake the journey of self discovery and creating our own soul? What if? What if that mean, bossy, corporate manager is processing his own self discovery on his his path of creating a mint soul and not just an arsehole in a cheap suit? If that's the way it is then why do I need his approval? Because that's where I get the cash to buy rare Ramones records? That seems weak and clouded in avoidance of responsibility of creating my own unique, special soul. The MINT me. All those limited edition vinyl LPs consumed. All those hours of overtime to avoid the creation of the soul. When I have all the Ramones records will the distortion accept me? Will it approve of me? Will it give me back my time and energy to get on with the real work of creating a unique, a special soul? It's doubtful. In fact it's impossible because I used my freewill to subscribe to consuming rather than creating. The distortion is based on fear. Fear of lack when we all know TRUTH is in abundance of the magic that is ever present in every moment. The distortion hints at approval from the boss, the family, the nation if we work hard to consume and collect every Ramones record, or get the newest, biggest car, house, vacation, adventure.....on and on.... the unwinable race. The unwinable human race.
The distortion gives power to those with the greatest means to consume. Many objects are purposely out of reach so we toil and strife towards the next "deserved", "entitled" product. We enslave ourself to consuming for the approval of the distortion as a substitute to healing our perceived hurts and harassments. These hurts and harassments that we feed from the disapproval of other people enslaved to the distortion. The shame. The guilt. The rejection and isolation. The eviction from the tribe, ousted by the club, voted of the island. This fear comes from our tribal consciousness deep within our cellular memory. The fear of being outcast and having to survive the elements alone. Strength in numbers meant a greater chance of survival to a prehistoric Ramones fan. The distortion by it's very name distorts this fear and offers the temporary but ultimately unobtainable relief in consuming. Identifying the fear is deep within us also offers diagnoses and the remedy to the distortion, it is also deep within us. We have heard all this before. Read the Hay House library. Posted the feel good slogans and told ourselves that is the big work is done for today. Switch on the 60 inch hypnotist in the centre of the lounge and (d/r)ecline into 57 channels of product placements and advertisements offering you approval and instant acceptance, for just a little cash and energy. Rubbish in, rubbish out.
The pain, the hurt, the frustration, the disapproval and disappointment, the disease is within. Therefore so is the healing. Not external. Not the puppet politicians. Not the corporation. Or the family, nation, church, vacation, car, house, wrinkle cream..... Again we have heard this so many times that it has lost it's impact as a fundamental truth to self creation and healing. Obviously I am still here on the rock circling the fireball, so I too know nothing more than you. No one knows. There are tools that are effective to healing and creating the MINT soul. Some I practise. Some I am unravelling as I journey toward my own truth and wisdom. Gratitude plays a huge part in healing and becoming the authentic self. Empathy also, not to be confused with sympathy. Intention is important. Being in nature is incredibly beneficial. Although the distortion is modifying and distorting the plant, rock and animal people in many destructive ways, nature seeks no approval from the distortion and will continue to thrive. Poisoning our vehicles of consciousness with the rubbish that passes as convenient nourishment is unhelpful. Rubbish in rubbish out.
The distortion has shifted into a psychological attack recently. It's no longer survival of the strongest and fastest in the physical sense. It's a psyche war in this age of instant information. Information has been distorted as knowledge and knowledge as wisdom. So, if you are going to tell yourself stories, make them good stories. Put your hands on yourself. Love yourself. Stop entertaining guilt and shame. You don't need approval to discover and create your own self worth and value. It's doesn't mean you don't. It means you take responsibility to create your own happiness, your own truth and wisdom, your own authentic soul. Find your passion and explore it. Real passion does not harm or hurt others. This is distortion and nothing to do with passion. Some may perceive you have harmed them as your attention shifts away from appeasing approval demands towards creating the authentic self, the MINT soul, but this "harm", this "hurt" is just a reaction against the distortion. Often eviction from the tribe follows quickly but the quicker you gratefully view this as an opportunity and not a crisis the more effective the work of healing the self and creating the soul is. My passion is not collecting Ramones coloured vinyl records but listening to them. Singing and strumming along. Enjoying the static pops when the needle hits the vinyl. Reading the lyrics and exploring the artwork on the LP sleeves. Hearing the distorted chords feedback through my amplifier. I don't need your approval to listen to and enjoy the Ramones. You don't need mine or anybody else's to follow your passion. For it is that unique passion that will ignite your very own unique creation that will inspire others to follow their own passion and create their authentic soul. Passion is healing. Heal yourself. Heal the planet. Allow the planet to heal you. You are only here to do two things. Be happy and creative. That is the only effective way I know to raise the vibration and expand the universe.
